Puerto Pesquero Santa Luzia to Casa Modesta Moncarapacho - 18th October 2026
Well the moving hotel thing is a bit of a bind but the Bolt peeps turned up quite quickly and that was all good. Better was that even though I am well early, the hotel let me into my room. Then more good stuff as the temp went down to 21. Didn't stay there though the afternoon when back to 25.
I am still moving along the lagoons and salt pans behind the barrier islands, though that will finish tomorrow and then it is more of the beach and cliff stuff to Lagos.
Dealing with the heat is hard, as it always is. But plenty of water and places to stop make it manageable. What it must be like in mid summer though!
I'm really enjoying these long lagoons and salt marshes The birds and fish crowding all the streams and the sun coming off the water is lovely. I don't know why the GR path people have the E0 avoid this part of the Algarve.
