Nova Porto Ferry Faro to Casa Modesta Moncarapacho - 19th October 2026
Faro old town and on to Olháo, then the last of the salt pans and marshes and a race with a thunderstorm. All in all a good day.
Still too hot.
Made it back with a few mins to spare.
I was thinking myself blessed today. Lucky to be able to do this thing, though with a rapidly failing carcass. To have the wherewithal to walk around beautiful places in the warm sunshine on the lower steps of winter. Of course, that brings with it a little guilt at spending my reserves on such. But then again, I've been working for more than fifty years and still must carry on with no viable end in sight. So, fuck that. I deserve it.
