Glad I am to have left behind that old people's retirement home masquerading as a hotel. They all seem so content with their lack of choice menus, overly bright lighting and condescending waiting staff. 'Just the one of you, young sir,' he called out. much too loudly. Waves of insincere pity swamped me from the coupled up dodderers. Warned twice not to enter the pool unless the receptionist confirmed that others were present because swimming alone verbotten.
Many the diversion today and many the mile it added. The old landslip, that had narrow paths down, suffered a further movement in 2023 and now all those paths are destroyed or closed. Some really steep climbs also but, though I had to slow way down, I managed to keep going so, a small self pat on back.
