13th – 24th March 2023

The Fisherman's, the Rota Vicentina (most of), the GR11 on Portugal's south east coast is the venue of the first bit of my conquering of the E9 in Portugal. My intention is to make my way up from the head of the trail in Porto Covo to Lisbon - on a return date -  and from there along the Portuguese Camino de Santiago to join with the Camino del Norte and eventually hit the French border. Ha! the dreams of fools.


16th - 25th October 2026

Instead of heading to Lisbon from Porto Covo, I have decided to make my own route from the Spanish border at Vila Real de Santo António to Lagos and the end point of the Rota Vicentina. This way, working sort of backwards, I've completed the whole southern and south eastern coast of Portugal.
